You have to approach Coates Hall, on Tower Drive (the road in front of Coates Hall) from the south. If you are coming down Acadian Thruway when you turn on Tower Drive you will be on the south side. There should be a parking person out there to open the gates and let you in and out. At 4:30 the gates to Coates and Tower Drive will open. Registration doesn't open until 5:00 and pizza will be delivered for 6:00. Hotel Information Even though Katrina has devasted hotel reservations, the Comfort Inn has rooms available for the contest weekend and is still honoring our original pricing agreement. Please contact them by October 20, 2005 for reservations (try sooner than later). To reserve rooms at the Baton Rouge Comfort Inn you must call the local number 1-225-236-4000 you MUST call the local number and ask for Christine in the sales office (to obtain the special price of $60 a night). ?The reservations staff can NOT make reservations for you. With a letter from your school with tax number, your taxes will be reduced. Click here for a retouched map that shows how to get from the Comfort Inn or the LaQuinta to Coates Hall with a purple path. Just West of the Comfort Inn (across the street) is a really good place to eat - TJ Ribs. They have great ribs, steaks, etc. Just South of the interstate is an Outback and a Lone Star Steak House. One block to the east of the Comfort Inn (get on the interstate going east and get back off) is College Drive. If you go south on College Drive, you will find Taco Bell, IHOP, McDonalds and several others. You will also find a Walmart here. Directly across College (on the service road) is Chili's and several others. To the North on College Drive is a Wendy's along with several other places if you turn right on to Corporate drive (first right off College N). Several other hotels exist in this area. Please note that Acadian Thruway has a 40 MPH speed limit that is often enforced.
